Description

Some files contain significant data, it would be thus interesting to be able to exclude them from the files which are subjected to dif. This would make possible more largely to use the reports of metche.

In my case, files of configuration of alternc (http://www.alternc.org) which contain passwords. But that could also be useful to other installation.

Feel free to provide us with a list of sensitive files you would like us to exclude by default :) We rely on users' input to enhance our default exclude list, because we won't install every piece of software in the world in order to discover which sensitive files it installs in /etc :]

  • owner changed from lunar to intrigeri.

  • status changed from new to closed.
  • resolution set to fixed.

AlternC's local.sh "sensitive file", that denis was actually speaking of, is now excluded by default (Changeset [176]).
