poivron.org - passé/futur

Après deux redémarrages du poivron, il s'est avéré que l'un de ses deux disques durs était en train d'agoniser. Celui-ci a donc été désactivé, jusqu'à son remplacement par un nouveau disque en bonne santé. La technologie RAID [2] assurant à poivron.org la redondance de ses données, n'ayez crainte; les courriers, sites et autres contenus des usager-e-s du potager n'ont été et ne seront en rien affectés!

Samedi 28 mai 2005 vers 20h, le poivron se verra donc greffé un nouveau disque venant remplacer le défaillant. Il s'ensuivra une coupure de poivron.org, de quelques minutes à quelques heures, selon que la bouture prend plus ou moins facilement (entendons par là: que la réplication des données d'un disque à l'autre se déroule correctement).

The kitchen-garden had already been shaken by a first vegetable crash [1], some three months ago. Though it had led its gardeners to suspect a hardware problem, no more trouble had happened since. As some may have noticed, poivron.org collapsed again, on Monday 23rd, May 2005.

After two reboots, it appeared that one of poivron.org's two hard-disks was dying. Thus, it was deactivated, until it can be replaced by a new & healthy disk! RAID [2] technology grants poivron.org data redundancy, so don't worry! E-mails, websites and other contents belonging to users of the kitchen-garden have not and will not be affected!

Around 9pm, on Saturday 28th, May 2005, a new hard-disk will be grafted in the sweet-pepper. This will cause poivron.org to be disconnected for some time - ranging from some minutes to an hour or so -, depending on the success of the planting (if data replication in between the disks goes without trouble).
